When our K9 Unit went to test potential K9’s back in March of 2011 from our vendor, Bolo was the last of 6 dogs we tested. I knew he was the one for me. Bolo was my second K9 partner over my 17 years as a handler. Not only was he a great “street beast” but very affectionate. We could be doing bite work one minute and have a group of toddlers hugging him the next. It’s like he knew when to turn it on/off. Perfect temperament. At home, he was my boys best friend.

His very first apprehension was a home invasion suspect that was hiding under a portable trailer at a middle school. I could go on and on about his accomplishments but the main point is he was a great protector for the citizens of Miramar, asset to the PD, and my family. We miss him dearly.
